MasterCard® SecureCode™ is a new service from MasterCard and your card issuer that gives you extra security when you shop online. You don't need a new MasterCard or Maestro® card to use this service. You choose your personal MasterCard SecureCode and never share it with any online retailer. Your private code provides extra security against unauthorized use of your credit or debit card when you shop online. Every time you make an online payment with your MasterCard, your card issuer window opens and asks you to enter your personal SecureCode, just as it asks you to enter your PIN at an ATM. Verified by Visa is a new service that allows you to shop online with extra security. With a simple Verified by Visa process, your identity is verified when you shop at online stores included in the program. This convenient way of shopping is possible via your existing Visa card. In addition, Verified by Visa is a quick process. You only need to register the card once and compile your password. Then, after making a purchase at stores included in the program, the Verified by Visa window will appear. Simply enter your password and click "send". Your identity is verified and your purchase is secure. To activate Verified by Visa on your Visa card or to learn more about it, contact your bank that issued your Visa card.
